The day Daft Punk fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Since the first hint of a new album, everyone in the dance music community has been salivating and anxiously awaiting the French DJ duo's long-awaited new album Random Access Memories. Finally, their new album officially hits stores today, marking their first studio effort since 2005's Human After All.
But for most fans, this won't be their first taste of the disc. In addition to releasing the lead single "Get Lucky" last month, Daft Punk has also been streaming Random Access Memories in full on iTunes for the past week.
The robots have talked at length about the new material representing a return to a classic era of dance music, a fact highlighted by guest appearances from iconic producers Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder. The album also includes guest work from Pharrell Williams, the Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Animal Collective's Panda Bear, and others.

The official Random Access Memories launch party took place this past weekend in the rural Australian town of Wee Waa. Daft Punk members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter didn't show up to the event, and have yet to announce any public appearances in support of the new album.
