In his final role in the upcoming film McCanick, the late Cory Monteith played a drug-addicted street hustler. McCanick director Josh C. Waller calls the role “cathartic” for Monteith who had struggled with drug addiction for most of his teens.
Cory wasn’t shy about talking of his past and present demons. Earlier this year he told Parade Magazine, "I stole a significant amount of money from a family member. I knew I was going to get caught, but I was so desperate I didn't care….I'm lucky on so many counts—I'm lucky to be alive."
We’re still waiting for more details about his untimely death. Cory was found dead in a Vancouver, Canada hotel room on Saturday, July 13th. He was only 31 years-old.
